Donation & Registration:
All proceeds from the fun run go directly to Drive Toward a Cure, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Preregistration with a minimum donation of $30 is required at Drive Toward a Cure. A tax receipt will be provided.
Note: While we have set the minimum donation rather low to encourage as many participants as possible; we encourage members of means to make a donation above the minimum.
April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and in support we’ll be one of several PCA clubs throughout the nation holding our own driving event. Our participation in the event will support the non-profit Drive Toward a Cure which raises funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the Parkinson’s Institute and Clinical Center (www.drivetowardacure.org).
Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a chronic and progressive movement disorder affecting more than 60,000 Americans each year, and this does not reflect the thousands of cases that go undetected. An estimated 7 to 10 million people worldwide are living with Parkinson's disease, with up to 1 million people in the U.S. You can find out more about Drive Toward a Cure and Parkinson’s disease here.
